Rita Kraner
Rita Kraner has been a trusted adviser to businesses, non-profit institutions and individuals. Rita is an experienced litigator and has tried cases in state and federal courts, and argued before the Massachusetts Court of Appeal as lead trial and appeal counsel. Having received a business degree, she is acutely aware of the contractual, tortious and regulatory risks facing entrepreneurs. She strives to provide comprehensive advice and help clients avoid protracted lawsuits. Rita also works with commercial and residential landlords and her services include lease preparation, insurance claims, contractor disputes and evictions.
Rita is also a member of the faculty at the Boston College Law School where she teaches Advanced Legal Writing.
Rita is a graduate of Boston College Law School where she served on the board of the Women's Law Center and the Jewish Law Students Association. She is a devoted champion of female and minority rights. Prior to founding Kraner Law, Rita practiced for seven years with the major Boston firm Riemer & Braunstein LLP.
In her spare time, Rita gives seminars in practical philosophy. She is a former competitive ballroom dancer, an avid traveler and an adventurous hiker, having stood on the peaks from Patagonia and Bolivia in South America, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa, to the scenic New England. She speaks fluent Russian and conversational German and Spanish.
